President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, according to Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu, is dedicated to bringing the majority of Nigerians out of poverty.
NAN reports that Bagudu made this revelation at the Geospatial Ecosystem Round Table Meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.
As outlined in the Renewed Hope Agenda, he pointed out that the current administration is committed to enhancing social welfare inclusion and security in the nation.
He reaffirmed the planning and execution usage of geospatial technology.
The Minister restated the importance of geospatial technology for the nation’s social and economic advancement.
It gives me great pleasure to speak to each and every one of you at this crucial roundtable discussion on operationalizing Nigeria’s Geo-Referenced Infrastructure and Demographic Data (GRID3) for use in policy and development planning.
As you are all aware, in order for the Geo-Referenced Infrastructure and Demographic Data for Development to be adopted at the sub-national level, the ministry is essential in mainstreaming and coordinating them into national projects and programmes.
In order to successfully fulfil our goals for national growth, planning and execution using geospatial technology is crucial.
“This is especially regarding equitable distribution of security, health, education, and infrastructure services, taking into account demographics such as gender and other vulnerabilities and population demography.”
