Following the devastating effects of climate change, the energy crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic, President Bola Tinubu has left for Paris to meet with world leaders and sign the New Global Financial Pact. This agreement prioritizes support for and investment in vulnerable countries.

Earlier today, he flew in a helicopter from the White House to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, where he was met by state governors, government representatives, and military personnel.

The President will attend the two-day summit on June 22 and 23, according to a statement made on Monday by Dele Alake, Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy. The summit will examine ways to give nations dealing with challenging short-term financial challenges, particularly the most indebted, access to fiscal space once again.

The document continues by saying that President Tinubu and other world leaders, multilateral organizations, financial specialists, and economists will adopt a more thorough strategy to help economies recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and rising poverty with the aim of facilitating access to finance and investment that will fuel inclusive growth.

On Saturday, the President will return with other government representatives and members of the Presidential Policy Advisory Council.
