President Tinubu unveils the ‘Return to Class’ initiative, aiming to tackle Nigeria’s out-of-school children crisis and improve access to education nationwide.
In distant Paris, President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his government’s dedication to prioritizing education for Nigerian children.
Tinubu made the promise on Thursday during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
He detailed strategies to substantially decrease the number of children not attending school by implementing innovative return-to-class initiatives and skills development programs.
The President emphasized the government’s continuous efforts to establish a supportive framework that guarantees school-age children return to classrooms, highlighting the importance of motivation and skill acquisition in this endeavor.
To help close the gap for those who are of age and have been out of school for some time, we will promote skills development,” stated the President.
Joined by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the Nigerian President conveyed to President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron that Nigeria’s potential for development relies on having a well-educated population.
