Tinubu Lands in Abu Dhabi to Attend Sustainability Week Summit

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu arrives in Abu Dhabi for the Sustainability Week Summit, aiming to strengthen international partnerships on renewable energy and environmental initiatives.

President Bola Tinubu has landed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).

Tinubu’s visit to the Middle East has been initiated by an invitation from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, announced Tinubu’s arrival through a post on his X page.

He shared the post along with a brief video capturing Tinubu’s arrival in the UAE.

“Olusegun wrote that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has landed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he was welcomed by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

The summit, titled “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” is slated to take place from January 12th to 18th in Abu Dhabi. This event will convene global leaders with the aim of accelerating sustainable development and promoting socio-economic advancement.

In Abu Dhabi, the President is anticipated to give a speech emphasizing his administration’s major reforms, especially in the areas of energy efficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development.

During the visit, Tinubu and his delegation are set to engage in discussions with UAE leadership aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for economic and diplomatic partnerships.

The forum is designed to be a platform where policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives can come together to discuss strategies for shifting towards a sustainable economy while promoting global prosperity.

Alongside the President are Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
