Tinubu is still recuperating from knee surgery – Presidency

According to Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, the president is still recovering from knee surgery he had in London.

Remember that Tinubu underwent knee surgery in London in 2021? This is prior to the general election campaign officially starting.

In response to a query regarding the President’s health, Onanuga stated in an interview with Nigerian Tribune that the President is currently recovering from knee surgery and does not have any other illnesses.

“No, he wasn’t sick,” he said. We explained this to Nigerians. In the lead-up to that election, Tinubu was in peak physical condition. He had knee surgery before that campaign started, maybe a year prior. It was public knowledge because President Buhari visited him in London when he was recovering.

Thus, he proceeded to get knee surgery. He was unable to walk correctly because of this.

“You cannot walk like a 25-year-old man after knee surgery. Since it required a significant surgery, he has been nursing it up to this point. It’s not like he suffers from any other illness,” he stated.
