Presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale has stated that President Bola Tinubu will continue to intervene in states facing political crises if it poses a threat to the country.

The President has previously intervened in political crises in Ondo and Rivers State, despite facing criticism for potentially undermining the governments of these states.

Ajuri believes that these interventions were necessary and in the best interest of the nation. He emphasized that the President’s actions were aimed at preventing any political destabilization that could escalate into a national crisis.

As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the President cannot simply stand by and remain silent when he identifies such threats. This is why he has taken the necessary steps to address these issues.

Ajuri asserts that Nigerians have high expectations for responsible leadership from Tinubu’s government.

The presidential aide emphasizes that the primary objective of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is to ensure the safety of the Nigerian people and create a stable environment free from insecurity. In light of this, the president made a wise decision to intervene when a political crisis was escalating and causing manmade insecurity.

Ajuri also addresses other national issues such as the impact of fuel subsidy removal and the increasing cost of living.

Acknowledging the economic challenges inherited by the current administration, Ajuri states that the principal is taking steps to address these issues.

He highlights that the combination of various factors, including the debt burden, makes it clear that there are no easy or quick solutions. There will be hardships and sacrifices before achieving an ultimate outcome that everyone can not only be proud of but also thrive in.
