In order to counteract the damaging impacts of terrorism, President Bola Tinubu has ordered information sharing among the nation’s security institutions.
According to him, stockpiling these resources would be ineffective in the battle against the threat.
This was said by the president on Monday while touring the National Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja and the new office of the National Security Adviser.
He said that his government understood the link between security and economic growth, prosperity, and stability.
According to Tinubu, terrorism is a worldwide phenomena that has to be combated with all available tools in order to be entirely eradicated.
“We as Nigerians must prioritize security if we want to see economic recovery, prosperity, and growth.
“What I have seen here is an illustration of intelligence counterterrorism activities. This has to be supported by facts.
“No country will benefit from counterterrorism that is not supported by information and intelligence. Together, we will work on that.
“The effort of this nation’s entire armed forces must be put together in such a way that there will be one single focus on securing the country,” he stated.
