The third iteration of the presidential town hall meeting organized by Arise Television would not be attended, according to the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress, APC, whose flag bearer is Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Bayo Onanuga, Director of Media & Publicity, released a statement that said this.

The news follows the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party and his running mate’s resignation from a related town hall meeting, “The Candidate,” presented by Original Daria Media idea, Nigerian Television Authority, and MacArthur Foundation. Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

Recall that Arise TV’s series of Presidential town hall meetings is scheduled to begin on December 4, 2022.

While expressing astonishment at Tinubu’s presence in the campaign, Onanuga said in his statement that neither the candidate nor he and his advisers had been consulted beforehand or given their agreement.

Our attention has been directed to an advertising by Arise News in conjunction with a Town Hall meeting set for December 4th, according to a portion of the statement.

As we stated in an earlier statement, Asiwaju Tinubu’s busy and hectic campaign schedules will not allow him to accept all invitations from various radio and TV stations for debates and/or Town Hall meetings. As a result, we decided that he should not begin with one media outlet and then disregard the others.
