The Federal Executive Council scheduled for this week has been postponed by President Bola Tinubu to an unknown date, as he intends to hold a meeting with the service chiefs instead.
Those anticipated to attend the meeting include the vice president, national security adviser, all chiefs of service, inspector general of police as well as the comptroller generals of customs and immigration alongside chief of staff to the president.
Anonymous sources informed OBASANJONEWS24 that the emergency meeting with security leaders may be related to the current federal demonstrations against hunger and suffering.

According to reports, Nigerians – particularly the younger generation- are organizing themselves in various parts of the country for day five of their #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstrations.
On Sunday, President Tinubu made an appeal for a dialogue and abrupt cessation of the nationwide protests that have caused unrest throughout the nation since Thursday.
