Tinubu heads to Maiduguri for the Army’s annual conference
For the Nigerian Army Annual Conference, President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja and is travelling to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.
At approximately 10:35 AM on Monday, the president departed from the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
President Tinubu is making his first trip to the northeast since taking office in order to serve as the special guest of honour at the Nigerian Army Annual Conference.
The Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri is currently being inspected, a speech to the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI will be given, and the Special Guest of Honour will lay the foundation stone for Headquarters 7 Division, according to a statement released by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations.
