Abuja, Nov. 3, 2023 (NAN): In order to enable Nigerians to monitor the progress of projects being implemented throughout the nation in real time, President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Presidential Delivery Tracker to be reactivated.

This was said by the President on Friday in Abuja at the three-day Cabinet Retreat’s closing session.

In addition to stating that all Nigerians must be given the chance to monitor and report on the execution of projects across the nation, Tinubu declared his unshakeable desire to ensuring the active and direct participation of citizens in governance.

He claimed to have instructed Hadiza Bala Usman, his Special Advisor on Policy and Coordination, to promptly restart the tracking system in a manner that makes the most of state-of-the-art digital innovation to offer real-time supervision capabilities.

Additionally, Tinubu redefined his administration’s priority areas as:

  1. In order to achieve consistent, inclusive growth, reform the economy.
  2. For wealth and peace, bolster national security.
  3. Promote agriculture to guarantee access to food.
  4. Make energy and natural resources available for development that is sustainable.
  5. Improve transit and infrastructure as growth-promoting factors.
  6. Pay attention to social investment, health, and education as the three main pillars of progress.
  7. Use innovation, industrialization, digitization, the creative arts, manufacturing, and manufacturing to speed up diversification.
  8. Strengthen governance to ensure efficient service provision.

The President also urged every member of the cabinet to put in a great deal of effort to fulfil Nigerians’ aspirations.

“Let me stress that the Renewed Hope Agenda encompasses more than just economic expansion. It also aims to create a society that is more egalitarian and just for all Nigerians.

It’s about lowering poverty, enhancing healthcare and education, and generating jobs. Making sure that every Nigerian has the chance to achieve is the main goal.

“I am sure we can accomplish our goals, even though I know we have a lot of work ahead of us. With a capable workforce at our disposal, we are dedicated to collaborating to create a better future for Nigeria.

Let me remind you that procrastination, political games, and excuses are not things that our people are interested in. Not me, either. They are looking for observable outcomes. They look for answers to the issues that have beset our wonderful country for a long time.

“The task at hand necessitates that we set aside our individual goals and concentrate on upholding the performance bond that each of us agreed to on this day. The President stated, “These performance bonds represent a contract we must uphold.”

“Data is the lifeblood of effective governance,” stated Tinubu, underscoring the significance of data in governance. It helps us to comprehend the difficulties we encounter in order to create and carry out efficient solutions as well as track and assess our advancement. Without information, we are in the dark.

Tinubu tasked all implementing authorities with consistently exhibiting thoroughness, creativity, devotion, and a relentless focus on outcomes.

The signing of performance bonds by permanent secretaries and ministries marked the retreat’s culmination.
