The week-long conference is important for maintaining national security and stability, according to Nigerian Army Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, because it provides a means for the army to assess and thoroughly review its ongoing operational engagements in all of the nation’s theatres of operations.
“The Army stated that this will give the NA a comprehensive understanding to make broad decisions that will be goal-oriented towards accomplishing its established objective of tackling various security challenges in the nation.”
