Tinubu Extends Free Rides on Abuja Metro Until December

The Abuja Rail Mass Transit, commonly known as the Metro Rail, offered free train tickets through December 2024, according to a Wednesday announcement by President Bola Tinubu.

According to Obasanjonews.com, in an effort to lessen the suffering wreaking havoc on the territory’s citizens, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, offered free rides on the Metro Rail for a period of two months.

Nonetheless, Tinubu authorised the extending of the free ride till December in his speech marking the start of train operations in Abuja.

“I heard you say two months free riding, our nice landlord and his company. Please stay till the end of the year, I beg of you.

“The people will have hope and reasons to celebrate since you’re not going to charge me today,” Tinubu stated.
