Tinubu: Economic Reforms Will Soon Provide Relief for Nigerians
President Tinubu promises that upcoming economic reforms will soon offer significant relief to Nigerians, aiming to address current economic challenges and improve living conditions.
On Sunday, in Lagos, President Bola Tinubu declared that Nigerians would soon experience considerable relief from the government’s policies and undertakings of the past 15 months.
Tinubu emphasized that his regime has made consistent advancements in reconstructing the country via legal and judicial transformations. He pledged to persist in advocating for the rule of law, respecting separation of powers principles, and accommodating contradictory perspectives within Nigerian legal boundaries.
During the commencement of the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association in Lagos, President Tinubu voiced these comments.
In a statement signed on Sunday night, titled “President Tinubu at NBA Conference: We Will Continue to Promote the Rule of Law and Tolerate Dissenting Voices,” Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Vice President on Media and Communications revealed this information.
The topic of the conference, “Pressing Forward: A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,” was discussed by him.
President Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the event, gave assurance to Nigerians that though making tough decisions towards modernization might lead to arduous outcomes, his government’s actions and policies would bring relief in no time.

“I acknowledge that our nation faces a number of challenging issues, but I implore all esteemed individuals present to avoid adopting any feelings of pessimism. Rather, let us persist in achieving the vision we have for this great country.”
To achieve sustainable development, Nigeria must abandon its past path. It is evident that cleansing the Augean stables and charting a new course towards rebuilding the nation are imperative steps to take.
He stated that although changing the current situation involves making tough choices and implementing changes that are bound to produce adverse effects, he comprehends it. Nevertheless, he believes this is a short-term phase and trusts our policies and actions as an administration will eventually bring easing.
He praised the NBA’s notable track record of advocating democratic principles and upholding the enforcement of laws.
Tinubu declared that this administration would persist in safeguarding the rule of law, following the principles of separation of powers, and tolerating dissent within legal limits to reassure everyone.
The Nigerian President called on citizens and lawyers to collaborate with his administration in realizing a better Nigeria for all. He emphasized that the country must steer clear of former methods if it hopes to attain lasting progress.
He expressed gratitude towards the Supreme Court for its unwavering endorsement of effective governance and democratic values in Nigeria. Furthermore, he acknowledged their recent ruling which granted financial independence to local government officials.
He observed that the verdict would stimulate essential progress at community levels and affirmed his belief in the ability of the judiciary to advance more purposeful and innovative legal actions.
