Tinubu declares during a gathering in Osogbo: “I helped Buhari to power and will replace him.”
Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, has pledged to eradicate unemployment in the nation if he wins this month’s general elections.
The former governor of Lagos State also promised to make credit available to business owners while speaking to the crowd that descended on Freedom Park in Osogbo, Osun State, the location of his rally yesterday ahead of the presidential election on February 25.
Speaking in Yoruba, Tinubu reiterated that he was instrumental in President Muhammadu Buhari’s rise to power and that he would succeed him.
He added that since he had been in the political arena for a long time, nobody could fear him and that “We brought them into power, and we will succeed them.”
He claimed that once his administration assumed control of the nation, the era of unemployment would be over. He said his administration would set up industries and create centres across the nation where graduates could register for immediate employment.
Tinubu asked the public to support him for president and not to give up despite the change in polling places.
“Set your thoughts at ease.” On election day, we will triumph even if they extend voting rights to Egbatedo. We’ll create industries. For youth without jobs, registration centres will be available. All of you who attended college and earned degrees will be grouped separately, and those of you who acquired skills will be grouped separately. All of you will have work thanks to us.
