President Bola Tinubu is currently engaged in discussions with the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
This meeting takes place shortly after the council publicly withdrew their endorsement of the president. During a press conference held in Abuja on Thursday, the council expressed their disappointment with the Muslim-Muslim ticket that they had previously supported to help bring the president into office.
Sheikh AbdulRasheed Hadiyyatullah, the President of SCSN, stated that Tinubu has not been equitable in his treatment of Muslims within the country. Further information regarding this meeting will be provided at a later time.
