President Bola Tinubu participated in the Eid Kabir prayers at the Dodan Barracks in Ikoyi, Lagos, alongside Muslim faithful.
The Eid-el-Kabir festival is observed by Muslims worldwide on the 10th day of the Hijri month of Dhual-Hijjah. Accompanied by top government officials, President Tinubu arrived at the Eid praying ground at 8:55 am on Sunday.
Among the dignitaries present were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat; former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola; businessman Aliko Dangote; Senator Gbenga Ashafa, and others.

In his message to the Muslim Ummah, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to reflect on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, which symbolizes sacrifice, faith, and obedience to the will of the Almighty.
He also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Nigerians in the past year and emphasized his administration’s commitment to the nation’s growth and development. Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State also emphasized the importance of submitting to God and prioritizing spiritual well-being over worldly desires.
He called on Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim and strive to emulate his unwavering faith, obedience, and dedication to serving humanity.
