Tinubu Campaigns in Delta State pledges prosperity and growth

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress APC presidential )’s candidate, was in Warri Delta State to campaign for the election that will take place in 2019. He said that the governing party will bring prosperity to both the state and the nation.

During the APC campaign’s flag-off in the oil-rich State on Saturday, Tinubu said.

“Visit Lagos State to view its growth and records of its lovely citizens.
The former governor of Lagos State said, “Hope is here; development is here; progress is here; Omo-Agege is here; and prosperity is here.

“I’ll keep what I’ve promised to you.
The destiny of our nation lies with you.
Your hopes for a strong and unified Nigeria will come true, he assured the crowd gathered at the Warri Township Stadium.

He said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the primary opposition, had underdeveloped Delta State because Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, had opposed Olusegun Obasanjo while the Adamawa-born politician was vice president.

“When Atiku was there, he was publicly arguing with his employer.
They were detailing their financial expenditures on autos for their girlfriends.
Do they feel guilt?
Will you cast another vote for them?
He queried.

“Our competitors have no sense of shame since they fight in public.
How are they able to consider good governance?

Since the restoration of democracy in 1999, Delta State’s governors have all been from the PDP.

There were other speakers at the occasion besides Tinubu.
Ovie Omo-Agege, the party’s candidate for governor in the state, also charged Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State, with forsaking Southern Nigeria by taking the position of running mate.

The Deputy Senate President believes that once President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year term ends in May, a southerner should take over. Buhari was born in Katsina.

He asserted that Okowa is a “modern-day Judas Iscariot” and “should immediately resign from the Atiku Abubakar ticket.”

The ceremony in the oil-rich city was attended by several APC chieftains. Among them are Kashim Shettima, the party’s vice presidential nominee; Ahmed Lawan, the president of the Senate; Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State; Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau State; Emma Eneukwu, the deputy national chairman of the party for the south; and Adams Oshiomhole, the former governor of Edo State.
