Tinubu Assures Nigerians: “We Will Overcome Insecurity

Bola Tinubu, the president, has promised that Nigeria will overcome its security obstacles.

The assurance was given by Tinubu during the Thursday, Abuja, inauguration of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) Headquarters, which was attended by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The President stated that the unwavering dedication of the Nigerian Armed Forces and intelligence services, such as the Department of State Services (DSS), National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), was the foundation of his confidence.

He remarked, “You have all led me to believe without a doubt that serving and safeguarding this country is your highest duty.”

The President declared that it was his solemn responsibility and top priority to secure every square inch of the nation.

He underlined that the DIA, which mainly supplies intelligence to the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces, is a crucial organisation in the nation’s security architecture.

He expressed his gratitude to the agency’s previous and current leadership for their vision and completion of the structure.

“I firmly believe that this magnificent office block will give rise to innovations and creativity in the field of intelligence gathering, keeping Nigeria one step ahead of its adversaries and improving the safety of our people and nation.”

“I want to express my gratitude to the whole DIA team for their commitment to duty.

“I implore you to be relentless and proactive in establishing the prerequisites that will ensure the fulfilment of the revitalised hope agenda for a better nation, which is something we are all passionate about.

He went on, “The country as a whole supports you and values your sacrifices.”
