President Bola Tinubu has provided reassurance to the Organised Labour that an executive bill regarding the new national minimum wage for workers will be promptly submitted to the National Assembly for approval.
This announcement was made by Tinubu during his second Democracy Day speech on June 12, 2024. Demonstrating a commitment to transparency and cooperation, the President stated that negotiations with Organised Labour have been conducted in good faith and with open arms.
The forthcoming executive bill will serve to solidify the agreed-upon terms as a legal requirement for the next five years or potentially even less.
Further updates will be provided in due course.
