President Tinubu enacts the North West Development Commission Bill, a pivotal step towards enhancing economic and infrastructural development in Nigeria’s North West region.
The North West Development Commission Bill has been signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.
The passage of the bill was acknowledged by Jibrin Barau, Deputy Senate President and its sponsor. He expressed appreciation for this development and mentioned that with the presidential approval, a federal government intervention agency will be established to tackle infrastructure degradation in the area.
On Tuesday, Mr. Jibril informed reporters in Abuja that the commission is working to alleviate the inadequate state of infrastructure caused by Boko Haram and banditry in the region.
The North West Development Commission Bill has been signed into law by the President with a view to aiding in the development of the region.

“We are all familiar with the area that leads in food production across our country, but unfortunately it has fallen victim to the destructive activities of Boko Haram which have adversely affected healthcare and education as well as infrastructure. The establishment of this commission will allow for much-needed restoration efforts.”
The President has demonstrated deep affection for the people in this region, and any effort made towards improving the North West ultimately benefits the entire nation due to our interdependence.
The Deputy Senate President stated that the act of presidential assent reflects positively on the vision and benevolent intentions of the President towards national development.
“I implore Nigerians to collaborate with him as he has demonstrated his achievements in Lagos. We acknowledge and value his accomplishments.”
According to Mr. Jibrin, the actions of this individual prove that he is a trustworthy leader. It’s important for us to remain patient and keep in mind that great accomplishments take time – not everything can be achieved overnight.
