President Bola Tinubu has officially appointed Mr. Tanimu Yakubu as the new Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, following the end of Mr. Ben Akabueze’s term.
Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, highlighted Yakubu’s extensive experience as an economist, including his role as Chief Economic Adviser to late President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua from 2007 to 2010.
Additionally, Yakubu previously served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria from 2003 to 2007.
Tinubu expressed gratitude to the outgoing director-general for his contributions and wished him success in his future endeavors.
