The six Managing Directors and Directors-General of parastatals in the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development have been fired by President Bola Tinubu.
This was revealed by his Special Advisor for Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement on Wednesday.
The Nigerian Federal Airports Authority, Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, and Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority are among the directors that are impacted.
The dismissal is consistent with his Renewed Hope Agenda, according to Ngelale, which aims to raise the bar for consumer protection in Nigerian civil aviation, promote the welfare of passengers from that country, and reduce the high cost of underperformance in the industry.
