Tinubu and Wike’s unholy union won’t continue through 2024, according to APC leader Eze

Former New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) national publicity secretary and senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has hinted that President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s political romance will end in due course.

Eze stated this in a statement provided to the media on Monday in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.

According to him, the political union between the two is morally repugnant and manifestly violates all accepted norms of good politics.

He claims that their interaction seriously undermines political liberalism’s and politics’ ethical foundations.

Speaking about the appointment of undeserving Rivers State residents to ministries and boards, the party chieftain claimed that the reward system was unfairly biassed against qualified and deserving members of the Rivers APC who invested time and resources into quelling hydra-headed intra-party rivalry and establishing stability in the face of very obstinate and ambitious opposition.

He claimed that the President’s acts, which in his opinion unmistakably lend credibility to the developing trend of political harlotry, have increased concerns among political players about adultery and other dubious behaviour.

He claimed that it is regrettable to witness the sad reality of those who gave their lives to establish the APC in Rivers State continuing to be decimated and suppressed, while those in the PDP and open adversaries of the progressive family in Rivers State are being strengthened by Tinubu, the head of an APC-led Federal Government.

“Former Governor Wike fought valiantly to undermine Rivers APC, and the lives of some members were lost in the process. But today, the same person who ridiculed and even insulted Tinubu has been rewarded and appointed a Minister by an APC-led Federal Government. He has also been given the authority to nominate those who sided with him to destroy APC in Rivers State into agencies and boards, according to Eze.

He claimed that Wike had recommended and made sure that non-APC members were appointed to positions in federal government organisations. These individuals allegedly included Chief Tony Okocha, Mr. Boma IIyaye, and Frank Owhor, the director of finance and administration and a board member of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), respectively.

Eze was confident that reliable APC members would band together to prevent the plot to demolish the party in Rivers State from going forward.

The APC leader declared that Tinubu and Wike’s “romance” wouldn’t last until the end of 2024.

“One wonders the extent of Wike’s relationship with Tinubu if he can today turn against Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, his benefactor who appointed him his chief of staff while he was the governor of Rivers State and later nominated him as minister.

“Tinubu should wait and see what transpires by 2024 if he could get rid of Senator Magnus Abe, whom he employed as a foolish leader to scuttle the prospects of the Rivers State APC.

“What he did to Atiku, whom he once described as the leader of leaders, is still a matter of discourse in some high places in this country and abroad,” he said.
