A 32-year-old man was arrested for the murder of his purported girlfriend, Adaidu, a 24-year-old member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). She had been serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja, the nation’s capital, prior to her death.

Salome was killed while visiting the suspect’s residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, located in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The police displayed Ajayi together with the knife and machetes used in the crime.

Timi was apprehended on Sunday, January 12, 2025, while attempting to dispose of Salome’s head after he killed her and dismembered her body during a visit at his home.

During an exclusive interview with our Correspondent, when asked if he had killed Salome, he responded “Yes,” explaining that it wasn’t premeditated but happened because they were not always together.

“I ended her life because we weren’t always together, and it wasn’t something I planned. It just happened that day. I didn’t have any preconceived plan; she was being unfaithful and kept many things hidden from me. I discovered this through her phone, where I saw chats with other men—that’s what led to my decision,” he explained.

When questioned further, he expressed that he has no regrets about committing the crime.

He replied, “No. I don’t have any regrets because life is reciprocal. That’s what I’ve always believed—if you do something for someone, it should be reciprocated with that person. It’s important to understand their situation and put yourself in their shoes. That understanding made us truly compatible, which is why I feel no regrets.”
