He said that there were some isolated occurrences during the election and added that some people were also detained for various electoral offences in various sections of the state.
“We arrested a number of people. In terms of ballot boxes, offensive weaponry, and sensitive INEC materials, we also made a few recoveries. Our field officers are currently compiling the number of arrests.
“I’ll have the precise figure by Sunday am and will make it known. During the governor’s race in Lagos State, nobody was murdered.

Notwithstanding some violent patches, Owohunwa praised the exercise in Lagos State as being good.
He stated that while the rare incidents were a challenge to the security agencies, the breaches had been expected, and precautions had been taken to address the issue.
In fact, breaches were expected in our operations strategies. Every time one of our events, it was intended that we would be made aware of it.
“In majority of the isolated cases when the breaches were notified, we initiated a second layer response plan. We took immediate action and established order,” he added.
