Three individuals described as hoodlums were apprehended by the police in Jigawa State for their involvement in the theft of three bags of pepper and the sexual assault of a woman in Ringim Local Government Area, as reported by the command’s spokesperson, DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam, in a statement released to Obasanjonews.com.
The unfortunate incident took place in Chori Village, Ringim LGA, during the early hours of Sunday, around 0200hrs, when three unidentified assailants, armed with machetes, forcibly entered a residence.
They proceeded to assault the homeowner and steal five bags of pepper before subjecting his wife to a horrifying ordeal of rape.

Following the report of the crime, detectives from the Ringim Division promptly launched an investigation that led to the arrest of three suspects: Abubakar Isah, aged 25; Umar Ibrahim, aged 25; and Umar Nasara, aged 30, all residents of Chori village in Ringim LGA.
The suspects reportedly confessed to their involvement in the criminal activities and were subsequently transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Dutse for further scrutiny.
DSP. Shiisu emphasized that a thorough investigation will be conducted, and upon its completion, the arrested individuals will be presented before the court to face charges related to the crimes they have admitted to committing.
