Three Suspects Arrested for Selling Human Parts at Lagos Market

Three individuals have been arrested in Lagos for allegedly selling human body parts at a local market. Authorities are investigating the disturbing case that has sparked outrage in the community. Learn more about the ongoing probe.

Officers from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three individuals for allegedly possessing items believed to be human tongues.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, announced the arrest on Tuesday via a post on his X account (@benHundeyin).

Hundeyin stated that during a routine stop-and-search operation on October 15, two suspects (whose names have not been disclosed) were arrested while traveling in a taxi along the Otedola Bridge.

“The police spokesperson stated that additional investigations resulted in the operatives arresting the third suspect, who had sold the parts at Oyingbo Market, Lagos.”

He mentioned that the case is presently being investigated at the command’s headquarters.

Hundeyin stated that the suspects would be prosecuted if deemed guilty once the investigation is completed.
