Three people were killed when gunmen attacked CUPP Spokesman’s home in Imo

According to reports, three people were killed in an attack on Ikenga Ugochinyere-country Imo’s house on Saturday in the Umukegwu community of Akokwa, Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State. Ugochinyere-Imo is the spokesman for the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP).

According to sources, the gunmen broke into Ugochinyere-home Imo’s house while he was meeting with some of his followers and started shooting randomly as they fled for safety.

Three people were slain in the process, including Dan, the uncle of the CUPP spokesman. On the property, there were also some vehicles and campaign materials that were set on fire.

Mike Abattam, a spokesman for the Imo State Police Command, told Obasanjonews24 that he knows about the event but that there are no official facts or a report yet.

He went on to say, “I expect a full report from the divisional police officer in the area.”

Ugochinyere-Imo is also the candidate for Ideato North and South Federal in the House of Representatives from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
