Three people killed in Abia due to ambulance accident
Three people are dead after an accident involving a black Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) utilised for medical services occurred in the Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
The incident on Thursday took place along Ikot Ekpene Road in Obingwa LGA, in front of the Dacoo Petrol Station in Umuafukwu/Umuagwa community.
Three people were killed and several others were gravely injured when the ambulance, which was reportedly travelling at full speed before to the collision, collided with some tricycles and motorcycles.

The ambulance driver continued to speed after the collision and eventually crashed into a nearby bush, but it was unclear if he was intoxicated.
After the accident, villagers and other supporters sobbed excessively, lamenting the victims’ premature deaths.
The locals counselled drivers using the congested route to observe all traffic safety regulations.
The wounded victims have been sent to the hospital in the interim so they can receive medical care.
The incident occurred a few days after a 40-foot container fell from a truck in the Aba neighbourhood of Ogbo Hill, destroying several cars and killing a few people.
