A military helicopter crash in DR Congo has led to the deaths of three foreign crew members. Learn more about the incident and ongoing investigations.

A military helicopter incident in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, resulted in fatalities for its pilot, co-pilot, and a technician on Wednesday. All victims were foreign nationals. The authorities have yet to reveal their identities or nationalities.

The helicopter crashed while trying to land at N’Dolo Airport, which primarily accommodates light aircraft in the Barumbu area near the Funa River. Emergency teams promptly reached the site to put out the fire after the crash.

The cause of the accident is still unknown, and an investigation has been initiated to find out what occurred.

This incident comes after a recent military drone crash on Tuesday in North Kivu province, located in eastern Congo, which was reportedly operated by the M23 rebel group.
