Three bandits are defeated by troops, and weapons are recovered in Mangu, Plateau

According to the Nigerian Army, three bandits have been neutralized by troops from the 3 Division who were sent to Mangu Local Government Area in Plateau State to settle the problem.

According to a statement from Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the operation took place on Wednesday.

The troops bravely engaged three bandits in combat after instantly responding to distress calls in the Mangu general region, the statement claims.

He claimed, “The troops recovered 3 x AK-47 rifles, 14 rounds of 7.62 mm Special rounds, 1 x Motorcycle and a Constabulary Police Identity card.”

He continued by saying that the valiant soldiers were currently pursuing bandits who had fled the firefight with gunshot wounds.
