In a collision on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway’s Kara axis in Ogun State, no fewer than 18 people suffered injuries of different seriousness.
The number of people involved could not immediately be determined, according to the Federal Road Safety (FRSC), which reported that the accident happened on Sunday night.
The accident involved a Mack truck without a licence plate, a Honda SUV with the licence plate KRD128GS, and a Mazda bus without a licence plate, according to Florence Okpe, the FRSC’s spokesperson in Ogun.

According to Okpe, brake failure was the reason for the several collisions.
The truck lost control and collided with the SUV and the commercial bus, according to information obtained by Obasanjo News24.
She continued by stating that members of the FRSC rescue squad brought the injured individuals to the Accident and Emergency Centre at the Old Toll Gate.
To remove the trailer and its container, a crane was also secured.
To prevent a second collision, police officers are said to have been stationed at the accident scene.
