Thousands of supporters of Palestine take to the streets of London (VIDEO)

Calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, demonstrators marched through the heart of the British capital holding banners and flags.

Large-scale pro-Palestinian protesters poured into downtown London’s streets, demanding an immediate end to hostilities in Gaza. On social media, videos from the incident have become very popular.

According to reports, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign planned the march. The declared path of the march started at Victoria Embankment and finished at Parliament Square, according to its Facebook page.

According to the BBC, tens of thousands of demonstrators have gathered for rallies in the nation’s capital and other cities to condemn Israel’s war on Gaza and call for an immediate truce. In light of the widespread protests, the publication reports that more than 1,000 Metropolitan Police officers have been stationed throughout the nation’s capital.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak demanded on Wednesday that humanitarian aid be sent into Gaza and that Hamas free the detainees it had captured during its raid on Israel on October 7. But he also said, “There has to be a safer environment, which of course necessitates specific pauses as distinct from a ceasefire, for all of that to happen.”

Since the Palestinian terrorist group’s unexpected attack, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 people and the kidnapping of over 200 more, Israel has completely blocked Gaza and heavily bombarded it. Palestinian officials claim that over 7,000 people have died in the enclave, 3,000 of them children.

Israel keeps attacking the heavily populated territory of Gaza even though it is said that the healthcare system there has crumbled. In addition to the recent attacks, Israel Defence soldiers (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari declared on Friday that ground soldiers are increasing their operations in Gaza.

The biggest telecom company in Gaza, Paltel, said later that day that the most recent shelling had destroyed “all remaining international routes” that linked the enclave to the outside world.
