Thierry Henry has stepped down as the France under-21 coach following the team’s silver medal performance at the Olympics, ending his tenure on a high note.
After leading the Under-21 squad to an Olympic silver medal in Paris earlier this month, Thierry Henry has stepped down as coach of France’s team.
Despite being contracted until next summer, the 47-year-old chose to resign from their position after only a year.
One of the greatest achievements in Henry’s life is winning the silver medal for his country at the Olympic Games.
The experience wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the federation, players, staff and fans for whom he feels immense gratitude.
Prior to accepting the France Under-21 position, Henry fulfilled the role of assistant coach for Belgium and occupied management positions at Monaco and Montreal Impact in Major League Soccer.
