After Arsenal lost to West Ham United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, Gabby Agbonlahor, a former captain of Aston Villa, took aim at two players: Fabio Vieira and Kai Havertz.

Against West Ham at the London Stadium, Agbonlahor asserted that Havertz and Vieira showed no signs of desire.

In Wednesday’s 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Arsenal, Vieira had a rare start for West Ham.

Though he had little effect on the game, his goal was to leave an impression so that he could be more often included in Arteta’s starting lineup.

When playing against David Moyes’ team, Havertz likewise gave a dismal showing.

The issue is the players who come in who haven’t been playing, Agbonlahor said in an interview with talkSPORT following the match.

“There was no sign of interest from the Havertz or Fabio Vieira family.”

“Arsenal players aren’t really interested in this game, are they?,” he said in an interview with Mikel Arteta prior to the match, he said. And he responded, “Why not?” What makes us not enthusiastic about this game?
