The Police Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi clarified that there is no specific law in Nigeria that criminalizes cross-dressing, amidst ongoing discussions about the topic on social media platforms.

During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Adejobi emphasized that crimes related to nature or natural offenses are more prevalent in terms of arrests made by law enforcement.

Adejobi highlighted the importance of having concrete evidence before arresting individuals suspected of cross-dressing, as accusations are often linked to other criminal activities, making it challenging to prosecute without substantial proof.
