There is no forgery of my signature by the Ondo commissioners – Gov Akeredolu fires back

Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has denied rumours that some commissioners and state representatives are falsifying his signature.

Recall that some government officials were allegedly faking Akeredolu’s signature on official documents, according to claims made by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Kayode Ajulo.

According to Ajulo, cabals were able to take advantage of the void left by Akeredolu’s illness by forging his signature in order to justify their own acts.

Dismissing Ajulo’s statement, Akeredolu challenged him to provide specific proof and called the accusation “utterly preposterous and ludicrous” through his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde.

Olatunde claimed in a statement that Ajulo was depending on “fabricated signatures” that were going around social media.

He pressed Ajulo to reveal the beneficiary or produce the purportedly falsified documents.

Olatunde claims: “We are more than happy to look into the case and bring charges against anyone proven to be at fault.

However, we are unable to consider irrational conjecture and unsupported assertions.

“The true offenders involved in criminal activity are the people who are behind these fake signatures.

“In actuality, only Governor Akeredolu has the right to assert that his signature has been falsified.”
