Veteran actor Norbert Young, in an interview with The Cable, expressed his belief that women in the film industry earn more money than men.

He emphasized that women have greater bargaining power and attract more money, but this does not make them wayward.
Young also discussed other topics such as the evolution of Nollywood, pension plans for veteran actors, and the government’s role in supporting the film industry.
Young acknowledged that every actor has their own bargaining power and suggested that women may be better at negotiating.
However, he emphasized that he does not inquire about others’ salaries and believes that what is considered better varies from person to person.
He also addressed the issue of ailing actors seeking financial assistance on social media, stating that this is not unique to Nollywood but happens worldwide.
