Former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has proposed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), the two opposition parties, should not combine.
In a post on X on Thursday, Sani made the recommendation.

The former congressman compared putting a Ferrari engine into a Peugeot vehicle to the proposed merger between PDP and LP.
“Plugging a Ferrari engine into a peugeot will be like merging PDP with the young, nimble, and restless Labour supporters,” the author said.
According to OBASANJONEWS24, there have been discussions on a merger between the main opposition groups in order to take on the All Progressives Congress, or APC, which is in power in 2027.
