Tesla Unveils Autonomous ‘Cybercab’ Robotaxi

Tesla has introduced its latest innovation, the autonomous ‘Cybercab’ robotaxi, showcasing advanced self-driving technology aimed at revolutionizing urban transportation.

During its recent “We, Robot” event, Tesla introduced its latest vehicle concepts. The new lineup is focused on public transportation and includes plans for an autonomous “Cybercab Robotaxi” and a “Robovan.”

Elon Musk has launched these vehicles, asserting that a fully autonomous system can revolutionize transportation by enhancing safety and reducing costs. The Tesla CEO asserts that these self-driving taxis could be ten times safer than human drivers, drastically lowering transport expenses.

From a design perspective, the futuristic vehicle features a modern aesthetic marked by sleek light bars and deep-dish rims that enhance its unique appearance, complemented by butterfly doors.

As of now, both vehicles remain in the concept phase, lacking detailed performance statistics. Tesla has indicated its goal to start production before 2027 and aims for a price under $30,000 USD. Besides these new concepts, Tesla plans to introduce Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities for the Model 3 and Model Y in California and Texas starting next year.
