Terrorists in Taraba shoot district chief
The district chief of Sarkin Kudu town in Taraba State’s Ibbi Local Government Area was slain by terrorists.
At around 12.30 am on Friday, Ali Hakimi, the district chief, reportedly came under attack in his palace in Sarkin Kudu town.
Our reporter was informed by an insider that the terrorists, who numbered roughly ten, had broken into the district chief’s palace and fatally shot him.
The deceased, according to a second source claiming to be Bello Adamu, was the head of the Sarkin Kudu chiefdom’s brother.
He claimed that the bandits had kidnapped numerous persons and carried out multiple raids throughout the chiefdom recently.
The source claimed, “After killing the district head, the attackers fled into the bush, and everyone in the area is fleeing in fear because nobody knows the bandits’ next target.”
When our reporter called the state’s police spokesman, SP Usman Abdullahi, his line was switched off, making it impossible to get in touch with him regarding the occurrence.
