The abduction occurred on Sunday during a church service. The church’s pastor suffered wounds.
At least 25 worshippers were abducted during a terrorist attack on the New Life for All Church on Sunday in the Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Eyewitnesses who talked to Channels Television said that terrorists on motorbikes broke into the Dan-Tsauni Gidan Haruna Community church early on Sunday morning while people were there to worship.
Ishaya Jurau, the senior special assistant to Governor Aminu Masari on Christian Affairs, also gave Channels Television confirmation of the attack.

Jurau says that security professionals are in charge of the situation right now and are working hard to rescue every victim without hurting them.
He declared, “They kidnapped our members and left the church pastor hurt during this morning’s service at around 10 a.m.
“Security is in control of the situation right now.” To save the victims without any injuries, they are working nonstop. We applaud security’s efforts.
On the same day, December 11, 2020, about 300 students from a secondary school in Kankara were taken by bandits.
