Terrorists boast, “We’ve bought plenty of weapons with new Naira notes, and we have them in bulk.”
The leader of the terrorists, known as Kachalla Balleri, has admitted that his group has a sufficient supply of new Naira notes in their camp and has used those notes to buy weapons.
The terrorist was seen in a video going viral displaying the freshly redesigned naira notes, which are still uncommon in many regions of the country.
Recall that Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), had asserted that the redesign of the N200, N500, and N1000 notes would aid in reducing terrorist activity.

Balleri disagreed with the CBN governor, saying that only the underprivileged masses would suffer.
“The poor are unaware of what the Naira makeover entails. A few of them lack N10,000.
“In order to battle them, we purchased weapons with fresh notes.” We are currently anticipating their next words.
We carry out our work for the benefit of God and the underprivileged, not for the benefit of the state. “We have no issues with anyone who wants to relate well to us,” he said.
