The Nigerian Air Force reported Sunday that numerous terrorists had been killed in stream-of-air attacks in their strongholds throughout the theatres.
The Air Components of Operations Hadin Kai and Hadarin Daji conducted air interdiction missions at a recently discovered terrorist hideaway at Bukar Meram, close to the Lake Chad region in Borno.
The recent relocation of terrorists from Suwa to the general area of Bukar Meram, according to Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information for the Air Force, was for a potential resurgence of attacks against ground troops and innocent civilians.

He said that air strikes were authorised at the location in Bukar Meram to eliminate the terrorists. “Feedback received after the strikes revealed the expected outcome was achieved as several terrorists were neutralised while over 40 motorcycles and six gun trucks were destroyed,” he said.
Gabkwet noted that on October 11, the Air Component of Operation Haradin Daji carried out comparable airstrikes on terrorists along the Sangeko axis of the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara.
According to him, the terrorists were travelling from Kabaro to Sangeko on a convoy of roughly 70 motorcycles when they were engaged, with some of them being neutralised, their motorcycles being destroyed, and others suffering injuries.
According to Gabkwet, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff, has praised the professionalism and commitment of the Air Components.
“I applaud your efforts and assistance to the ground forces. He reported the Air Chief as stating, “Remain focused and do not be complacent as we must continue to give our citizens the confidence they need to thrive.
