Tension escalates with the discovery of deceased Fulani leader in Plateau
Umar Ibrahim, a Fulani leader who vanished on Wednesday, has been found dead in an abandoned well in the Jokom settlement of Mangu town, which is part of the Mangu local government area (LGA) in Plateau state.
According to information obtained by Obasanjo News24, the issue is causing tension in the area to rise.
The deceased was the Ciroma of the state’s Kumbun district of Mangu LGA before to his passing.

Captain Oya James, a spokesman for the security task force that upholds order in the state and oversees Operation Safe Haven, verified the occurrence.
As to the statement from the Gan Allah Fulani Development Association (GAFDAN) leadership, the deceased disappeared on Wednesday after leaving a hospital to purchase food for his ailing wife who was receiving treatment.
The group’s state head, Garba Abdullahi, gave an explanation of how their leader’s body was found.
He paid his spouse a visit at the Mangu sickbay. On Wednesday night, around six o’clock, he went to buy her some food but was unable to come back.
“After four days of searching, the body was discovered near the hospital in an abandoned well. Along with the corpse, troops who have been preserving the peace in the area as part of Operation Safe Haven were also found.
“All of our members are urged to maintain composure and never enact laws on their own.” We ought to keep up with the law. The security services are working hard. We want the security to find and apprehend the people who carried out the heinous deed,” he declared.
