Ten Hag: ‘We Made a Decision’ Amid Sacking Talks After Spurs Defeat
Ten Hag breaks his silence on sacking rumors after the 3-0 defeat to Spurs, explaining that key decisions were made post-match.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has refuted speculation about his potential sacking after their 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead in the first half, and just before halftime, United captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off.
Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke netted goals in the second half, handing Ten Hag’s squad their second straight defeat at Old Trafford. The outcome places United in 12th position with seven points from six matches.

However, following the match against Spurs, Ten Hag emphasized that he, along with the players and board members, collectively decided to continue working together.
He stated, “I’m not concerned about being fired, not at all. We collectively decided to stay united.”
“Owners, staff, players, and myself—we collectively made the decision after a thorough review of what needs to be done. We understood it would take time. We’re all on the same page.”
