The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has reiterated its commitment to restoring power supply in the North East region as scheduled for May 27, assuring the North East Governors Forum, NEGF, of its dedication to the task at hand.
Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN, emphasized the company’s efforts to address the power outage issue in a press release distributed to journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday, underscoring the importance of the restoration process.
In response to the concerns raised by the North East Governors Forum regarding the power blackout and the specified timeline for power restoration, TCN acknowledged the challenges faced by the governors and the impact of the blackouts on various sectors, expressing their discontent with the situation.

Despite facing challenges such as vandalism, TCN assured that its team is diligently working to rebuild the damaged towers and restore power to the affected areas, urging for patience from the public as the restoration process progresses.
The company highlighted its efforts to expedite the restoration work by ensuring that contractors are equipped with necessary resources and machinery on-site to accelerate the fabrication processes of tower members, with visible progress on the completion of the towers.
TCN emphasized its commitment to delivering on its promise of rebuilding the towers and energizing the transmission line, despite financial constraints, and assured that the restoration work is advancing steadily towards the goal of power restoration in the North East region.
