Taxi services are Cancelled by FAAN at Abuja Airport
The suspension was required, according to a statement from Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua, spokesman for FAAN.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has “with immediate effect” banned automobile rental services at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, which could cause problems for tourists.
According to a statement from FAAN spokesman Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua on Thursday, “This is due to the unresolved factional dispute among the car rental operators which has been affecting airport car hire service operations.”
The airport authority justified the suspension as necessary and advised passengers to utilise “secured alternative means of transportation or e-hailing services in and out of the airport”.
FAAN was sorry for any trouble the suspension may have brought on for famous travellers, airport users, and the general public.
The statement concluded, “Normal car rental services resume as soon as their differences are resolved.”
