Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has urged community leaders to keep working with law enforcement to promote peace throughout the state.

While congratulating the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir on Sunday, he made the call and reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to maintaining peace, unity, and the advancement of the state.

Reiterating his pledge to help security personnel in their efforts to purge the state of all forms of criminal activity, he appealed to everybody, regardless of party affiliation, to provide his government with the necessary backing to propel the state to unprecedented heights.

Speaking on religious harmony as well, the governor noted that Taraba State is a three-in-one state where all religions live in harmony with one another. He also promised to continue being fair to all parties.

The governor, who emphasised the need to remain selfless, called on everyone to work together to build the state and asked the populace to preserve love for one another, decency towards all, and respect for the lives of others.

He expressed his congratulations to the Muslim community nationwide on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir this year, stating that it was a time “for sober reflection on our nation’s perils while celebrating God’s goodness in our lives.”

In addition to praising the traditional rulers for advancing with him in the endeavour to restore Taraba to its former glory, Kefas remarked that their efforts, in concert with those of religious leaders, had contributed to the spread of democracy’s benefits throughout the state.
